Strengthening Collaboration in Pharma and Radiopharma

A Growing Hub for Pharma and Radiopharma
OCC is a non-profit research and business cluster dedicated to accelerating the development of new cancer treatments and diagnostics. With over 90 members spanning hospitals, research centers, patient organizations, biotech companies, and global pharmaceutical firms, the cluster represents the entire oncology value chain. Cody AS is proud to be a member of this influential network since 2023, bringing our deep experience in engineering, automation, and production technology to the table.
The delegation’s visit highlighted the growing ecosystem in Telemark, reinforcing the region’s position as a key player in pharmaceutical and radiopharmaceutical innovation in Norway and globally.

From Introduction to Partnership
Cody’s involvement with OCC stems from our long-standing collaboration with the pharmaceutical and radiopharmaceutical industries. We were introduced to OCC through projects with clients such as GE HealthCare and Bayer, where we contributed to the development of hot cell production equipment and packaging for cutting-edge cancer treatments. A notable milestone was our participation in Bayer’s 10th-anniversary event for Xofigo, a Norwegian-developed cancer drug, at OCC’s headquarters in Oslo last fall.
Recognizing the potential to contribute further, Cody applied for OCC membership in late 2023. Following a successful pitch showcasing our work in cancer medicine, we were approved in December. “Being part of a network with so many skilled members gives us a larger platform to showcase our expertise and collaborate on developing efficient production processes for radiopharmaceuticals and beyond,” says Magnus Skoglund Larsen, Chief Business Development Officer, at Cody AS.

During the visit, we had the opportunity to discuss Cody’s role in advancing pharmaceutical production and to demonstrate the innovative solutions we’ve developed for our clients. The delegation engaged in presentations and a site tour, where they witnessed firsthand the precision and dedication that go into our engineering services.
The event also fostered discussions on how collaboration between industry players, research institutions, and technology providers can accelerate progress in cancer treatment. Attendees included representatives from Innovation Norway, The Research Council of Norway, GE HealthCare, Bayer, Oncoinvent ASA and Thor Medical ASA,, among others. Their contributions and insights made for an enriching exchange of ideas.
Looking Ahead: A Promising Collaboration
At Cody, we thrive on developing tailor-made production solutions that enable our clients to scale their innovations efficiently. The delegation’s visit reinforced the importance of early collaboration between technology providers and pharmaceutical companies to streamline production and bring new treatments to patients faster.
“Being part of Oslo Cancer Cluster is inspiring. It’s about working with people who are shaping the future of medicine. We look forward to many more discussions, collaborations, and workshops that will drive innovation in this space,”concludes Skoglund Larsen.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Charlotte Homme of Oslo Cancer Cluster for organizing this visit and to all the companies and individuals who participated. The momentum is strong, and we are excited to continue building on these relationships to push the boundaries of what’s possible in pharma and radiopharma.
Stay tuned for more updates on our work in this space!
